The structure

How the property is laid out

SuperAssets models a property the way it is built. A location contains units, and a unit contains the things inside it. A room is a unit. What is in the room, such as its air handler or minibar, is a thing with its own record. Five floors and eight garden bungalows are in this property. Floor 2 is followed in detail.

Each asset type has a readiness policy: a short list of conditions, each with a severity. Blocking means the asset cannot be ready while the condition fails. Degrading means the asset is partially ready. Advisory is shown in the report but does not change the verdict. Every room of this type follows the same policy, and so does every air handler, minibar and lock.

The structure

How the campus is laid out

A campus holds halls, halls hold rows, and rows hold racks. A rack is a unit. The cooling unit, the PDU, the UPS and the servers in it are things with their own records. A generator set sits at hall level as a unit of its own. Hall B is followed in detail.

The standard

What ready means, written once

Each asset type has a readiness policy: a short list of conditions, each with a severity. Blocking means the asset cannot be ready while the condition fails. Degrading means the asset is partially ready. Advisory is shown in the report but does not change the verdict. Every rack of this type follows the same policy, and so does every cooling unit, PDU, UPS and server.
